♥ You And I

It's been a while, hasn't it. Well, life has been pretty busy even though I'm actually on a long break from uni. This is what you get when you procrastinate, I'm telling you. There were so many things I pushed back before I went overseas earlier this year. So now I have to finish all those stuff before I have to return overseas again next year. *sigh*

This time I'd like to introduce you to another good singer that I grew fond of lately: Park Bom. She's a part of 2NE1, which is another awesome girl group (and might be the only girl group that I'll ever approve of). This is her solo piece called 'You And I'.

Isn't this song just lovely? It has both the elements of giddiness and sadness, which I like. It feels fresh, and I just love her voice. There aren't many people with that voice who can pull it of in a song like this. I wish she could make more solo pieces and produce her own solo album, just like TaeYang.

Speaking of albums, I just received the news that TVXQ's new album will be released on the 5th of January. Well, I just can't feel the excitement at all. It's not that I don't believe in them as much anymore, but it will never be the same without all five of them. I know Yunho and Changmin will be able to pull this off their own way, and they'll be able to make us proud. But Yunho and Changmin aren't TVXQ, JYJ isn't TVXQ. TVXQ only exists when the five of them are together. Otherwise, who would be able to sing Bolero or Love In The Ice as beautifully anymore? I bet even Shinee can't sing it as good as TVXQ did, even being the same five membered group that they are...

Just look at the photo teaser, SM is just being ridiculous!!

I understand that these people enjoy being the entrepreneur of culture and style. And in a few month's time, this new make-up style will be a hit and smoking hot-stuff! But if you think about it right now, it's just ridiculous. I thought JYJ's heavy eye-line for The Beginning was already too heavy. But this? This is like flipping our minds into believing that right is wrong and wrong is right! I'm being honest, and I don't really like this new style... But I will still love Changmin and Yunho for who they are, and I will still admire them for their hardwork, so I will keep on supporting them.

And would you like me to tell you about something else? Have you heard of SM The Ballad? Ok, first I have to be honest that I like the song 'Miss You'. And maybe a couple more songs from them. But I still have to say this. SM should stop trying to find a replacement for TVXQ, because there won't be any. Sure the four boys can take those high notes, but singing isn't just about getting to the notes. And what's with using Kyuhyun and Jonghyun? What are they expecting from fans and netizens? To forget about TVXQ and move on? Hell no! Until the day they'll be able to find another five boys that are as good as Yunho, Changmin, Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu put together, they will never be able to replace TVXQ in any of our hearts. Period.

And as a side note, 'Miss You' has a pretty good composition. But there wasn't any spark that could get me to listen to it for thousands and thousands of times when SM The Ballad sang it. I don't think I'll even remember it after 30 days. Unlike Love in The Ice and Doushite, just to name a few. I'm not bashing, dears. I'm just stating an opinion. A factual one at that. haha~

♥ One More Day

Tomorrow is finally the day when I'll be flying back home. I'm not sure how I'm feeling right now, because I kind of feel sad since both of my house mates had already left, but happy at the same time because I'll be reunited with my family soon. Add to add to these feelings, I'm currently listening to F4's Yan Huo De Jie after so long... wahahh! And it's raining out side, and it feels like beginning of winter all over again.

Anyways, I called and went on skype with my family the whole night yesterday. It's a bit weird since I'm only going back in a few days. But I ended up talking to mom and dad for almost 4 hours straight. It's a record so far, hehe. We talked about stuff that I should and will bring back home, and I showed my mom what I bought for my brother for his birthday, which is today. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABANG!!! Hehe should I call him now and disturb his beauty sleep? It's like 5am over there) I bought a few stuff for friends as well, and lot and LOTS of Australian Cadbury Chocolate, and a packet of Lamington... I think I spent over a hundred for these. -__- Or maybe I shouldn't have told you that. LOL! But to be truthful, there are more stuff I want to get for people back home, but I was always conscious of the amount of AUD in my account. Always. There were many cute plushies on sale that I wanted to buy for my sister, but despite the sale, the price is still high for that mere cute plushie.. And things like that. Even hand-bags here are lovely, but once I look at the price tag, I became pressured to choose ONLY the MOST GORGEOUS looking hand-bag that will fit my mom's preferences PERFECTLY. In the end, I bought none, because I value my money too much. *sigh*

I had a fairly difficult time at Harbour Town yesterday. Even my friend was complaining that I'm too picky on these stuff. Well, I really hope that what I buy will bring great value and happiness to my family back home, although I think some of the items I already bought won't be as valuable as others...

♥ The Unspoken

My blog's first name was The Advent Hope. Then I changed it to Awaking Whispers since I found out that the previous one is a name of a church somewhere, I can't feel the originality anymore. Now I figured that this blog is mostly used to put up my thoughts on things I can't verbally say (at least in a more comprehensive manner), I'm changing the blog's name to The Unspoken. And I mean it, literally.

I have a vision of filling up this blog with an even more critical perspective rather than only useless spazzing. I wish to fix my incoherence in delivering a point that is important but seems less important due to my poor delivery. I hope that the readers can understand me better this way, and see eye-to-eye on matters that are important to me.

There shall be more words and less pictures accompanying this blog from now on. This is also the reason why I wanted to omit the cheerfulness of the cupcakes. But rest assured, the cupcakes are still in safe-keeping, and I shall unleash them once again when the time is right. ;]

♥ New Layout!

Finally!! I was thinking of changing the layout on New Year or something, but this is close enough right? How do you find the new layout? Dark? XD

God, I'm so tired... Went ice-skating again yesterday, ate waffles at Max Brenner's and spent two hours on the City-cat just to venture to Apollo Road. Today we went to watch HP7 Part 1 and shop all around city. By the time we get home, I can't lift up my knees.

We had a great time, and we're planning on going to Harbour Town tomorrow. We'll see, and hope that my feet can last. haha!

♥ Flat

Just finished two of my final papers.
I wonder... Is it because I didn't study enough, or did I study too much?
I walked to the examination venue with calm feelings,
assured that I've had most things stored in my mind.
I flipped over the pages of the exam booklet,
feeling confident that I've studied all that is about to be questioned.
I took my pen, scribbled the first few letters, the first few words, the first few paragraphs...
However, during the middle of my trance, there was a point where I started to hesitate.
Maybe its a desperation of wanting a high score, and maybe its a mere exhaustion
Because up until that point, I wasn't as confident as I was 30 minutes ago.
And so I start to push myself even harder, but to no avail
At the end of the exam period, I can't even remember what I did
And so I pray to God that I didn't do too much wrongs... *sigh*

♥ 0.5 Can Make A Difference

Another sheeeeaat coming your way, be warned! LOL!

I just submitted my last finance quiz. This time I did the whole quiz while concentrating ONLY on the quiz and nothing else, not even listening to any music. And guess what? I SCREWED BIG TIME! puahahaa~ I was aiming for a nine since one of the question is totally out of this world (I think I missed that part somewhere in the lecture, or was it the lecturer who forgot to mention it in class?) Well... Technically, I SHOULD get a nine, but ended up with a seven. If only I didn't make those stupid mistakes. -__-' Guess I learned my lesson yet again... bahh~ Maybe I should always do multiple jobs at once since I seem to do better while at them. hmmmm. Now I'm worried for my exam. Like.. anxiously worried. Even as careful as I prepared myself to be, who knows what will happen on the day itself?

*prays to God that everything will be OK*

Hey you! Pray for me too!!

:D Thanks! GOD BLESS Y'ALL~

p/s: The 0.5 stated above is the difference in my carry-mark if I have had a nine for the last quiz. LOL! Well, it COULD make the difference! A grade 7 is damn hard to get you know! for me, that is.. *sigh*

♥ Oh Sh!t

I really should beware of the words I use here. People could just google things and get easily stumbled upon this blog. *sigh*. I had purposely omit any use of real names so that no one can find this blog, except for those who I purposely forwarded the link to but its not working very well. This blog is meant for my online friends, and also for my family whenever I need to update them with anything I feel like. This blog is NOT meant for non-online friends! (but if you have somehow found this blog, don't just keep quiet and stalk me. It's annoying. Communicate!)

This is because I found out that someone had stumbled upon this blog using the search keyword 'finm2401quizd'. DAMN! Obviously it should be someone from UQ. *double sigh*

Neways, there's not much update on my life. Finals are coming, and my revisions are progressing quite slowly. *smacks head* But I'm constantly working on finishing as much as I could. And on the bright side, I finally obtained FULL MARKS for my economics quiz! OMG I can't believe I just did that. It felt like my head was gonna blow up with all those statistics and its complications. I had officially hated Survey Sampling for a while. -__-' But then again, it wasn't a complete nightmare after all. LOL!

Oh, I nearly forgot. I had just wasted the whole morning and afternoon of today. Pain pain pain! It was one of the worst. My face went pale and it felt like I was gonna pass out. I spent 6 hours sleeping the pain away. *triple sigh*

But I woke up watching the new JYJ MV - AYYY GIRL. :D = AWESOMENESS!!

♥ New Discoveries

Guess what I found... I was surfing the net with one of my housemates while having dinner, and we came across this blog. We found out that we could actually be 20th++ cousins of each other! (well, we usually use the term second cousins etc, and this is a little bit of exaggeration). At first we found a family tree of the five legendary Daengs, which develops further in Daeng Chelak's lineage. Then I got curious and googled some more. Then I came across this blog which is written by one of Daeng Chelak's descendants. I don't think it's a made up blog, because the evidences are pretty obvious and everything was explained in detail.

Anyways, as I read, it reminds me of a story that was once 'told' to me. :)

Melayu Beraja >> http://www.melayuberaja.org/

If you're also curious of what I'm talking about, feel free to visit that site. lol!

Oh! and I have some trivia for you girls! It's in Malay btw. 'How To Understand A Girl By The Way She Walks'. tehee. If you're interested, maybe I can translate it for you (for you non-Malay speaking people). But only after I get over my finals.

Badan bergoyang

♥ YATTA~!!

:D Full marks for my finance quiz yet again! I did it while listening to Tohoshinki's 2nd LIVE TOUR 2007 'Five In The Black' and Tohoshinki's 'Video Clip Collection -THE ONE-' DVDs on TV. hehe~ While watching Micky Yoochun shed tears during the double encore, I submitted the quiz and voila! Ahhhh... I'm good at multi-tasking, aren't I? LOL!

But seriously... I miss watching TVXQ's LIVE performance as five, seeing them fooling around on stage and showing off their talents and handsome figures. And my favourite concert DVD is not with me. Oh, baby I miss you~~

♥ Reasons To Fly

Firstly I'd like to apologise for my previous post. It's not that there's anything wrong with it. It's just me being numb in the head and don't know what else to do. I don't even think I made much sense back there, so let's just ignore it. To those who could read between my clumsy lines, congratulations. But to those who can't, I can't blame you... LOL!

Anyways, here's another topic that has been playing inside my mind a LOT lately. Especially after seeing my juniors happily enjoying themselves overseas. Not many people are lucky enough to be offered to be subsidised to study in a foreign country (unless your parents are super rich!), but many are keen to fight for that spot, which to be honest, have never been part of my things-to-accomplish-in-life list. Honestly!

1. FAME
-People want to go overseas because they'll be marked as a very intelligent person. Friends, relatives and neighbours will be curious to know what has happened in your life after secondary education level and it'd be awesome if you could tell them that you'll be studying overseas under a scholarship. Cousins and aunties will envy you and you would have a reason to make other snobby people to look up at you.

2. ADVENTURE
-How many times in one's life that you'll get to travel freely in another country. A tourists visa could only last at most 3 months. When will you have a full three months to waste for an adventure in Europe? You'd have to apply for maternity leave or something if you're working. The best solution is to get yourself an overseas scholarship! While studying and racking your brains off to get good results (so that your sponsor won't scold you and bring you back home), you can plan heaps of journeys across Europe and its neighbouring countries! You can even come back as you feel like it. Why not, you have at least three years to use up!

3. STUDY?
-I think this will be the bottom most reason of a person who's flying overseas. Studying could never be a top priority for a student in this new millenium, trust me. It may be a top 3 or top 5, but never will it be no. 1. Why? Didn't those people send us overseas to learn? Didn't those big bosses of big big organisations went through all the trouble to pick the cream of the cream among students to groom to be the best for the future of its company and the future of its people? Wasn't the reason of them sending students overseas is to find the secrets of success of other nations to be brought back to our own country? So what happened?

Studying overseas isn't as easy as it looks or sound. Or maybe it's because I'm not bright enough, or maybe it's because my mind-set has never been directed towards this. I've never wished to go this far, yet I've been given the once-in-a-lifetime chance. Have I been treating my luck badly? Am I taking things for granted for the first time in my life?

♥ Trendy?

I still can't understand why people would sacrifice their own true personality just to be able to look as good as others. Or maybe not for the reason to look good, but simply not to fall back on what's hot in the world nowadays. What's going to hurt if you just stay by your own beliefs and not let yourself follow too much of the people around you? It is good to be part of the majority. It makes you feel safe. But it crushes your identity. And without identity, there's nothing more that you can be proud of.

I understand that it is inevitable to be trendy in a fashion sense, especially for us the female species. I'm not going to argue on that, since its a given. What I don't agree here is about our culture's trend. Yeah, I know. 'There she goes again with the talk about culture'... Well, forgive me, but culture is a very big issue. It may be just another word with its meaning scribbled in the dictionary for some of you. But once you get to experience another completely different culture first-hand, then that's going to change your mind.

Anyways, I'm talking nonsense again. I just... can't stand some people. Those people who are too self-conscious. Those people who thinks they're cute by doing something that could be done adorably by some others. Those people whose personality is to impersonate others. IT. ANNOYS. ME. VERY. MUCH.

I don't know how else to elaborate on this to make the exact point come across because I do not intend to hurt some people's feelings. But really, just keep being the way you are. Just because you find something new that is likable and some other people are also doing it, it doesn't mean that you also have to do the same. The most precious thing in life is to keep being who you are. That's the only way to help the whole nation to move on...

:(

However, some people won't even notice that they've changed themselves into something like this. That's simply a pity...

♥ I Had Too Many Second Chances...

Between all the TVXQ members, whose composed song would you enjoy the most? I mean, almost all of them has composed a song before, at least once. I think Yunho is the only one who haven't wrote a song before while Yoochun had wrote too many. Yoochun is a pretty established song writer. I think if he wasn't part of TVXQ, he would've been a professional at that. His songs are very enjoyable. Some of them do sound weird at the first listen, but I guess when the tune comes straight from your heart, it will always be able to make its way into other people's heart as well...

My favourite song writer is the one who sang this song below... <3

I'm not lying, but my heart is captured the moment I listened to its first beat! I have to admit, Jaejoong's songs has this ability on me. If I'm not mistaken, this is the third song from Jaejoong that has been added into a full length album. 9096 and Wasurenaide has its own charm that I can't explain as well. I have no idea what's playing inside that man's brain when he write songs. But his pieces are just amazing.

Every time I listened to this song 'Still In Love', I just felt like he's groping onto my heart. Nerve butterflies starts to fly around, and it almost felt like he was embracing me with the melody. How incredible is that? Absolutely, I've never felt like this when listening to a song, even his previous ones. And I'm not a fan of R&B to begin with! The only downside of this song is his pronunciation. But we all can't blame him, can we? He was the worst English speaker among the TVXQ members, I think. To think of it, he had never spoken English words unless for those one or two words in TVXQ's songs. Hmm, amazing. This man has never failed to surprise me.

This is a bit off topic, but I can't help comparing between him and Changmin. Everyone knows that I like Shim Changmin, for reasons still unknown even to myself. I just find him having the most similarities with me that it really felt like he could have been my twin. (yeah, I secretly wished I had a male twin hehe) But I also like Jaejoong for a whole different reasons. People would say that Jaejoong is desirable because of his hot looks, melodious voice and great humour whereas Changmin would have people say he's ultimately handsome and amazingly witty. There, Changmin already lost a point from Jaejoong, since Jaejoong has 3 desirable characteristics and Changmin only has two (consider this as a metaphore, will you?). In the showbiz, people would immediately like Jaejoong if not at first glance due to those characters. But I'm not one of them, because I see people in a whole different angle...

While Changmin could be a man who we know will do his best in everything, Jaejoong is the kind of man who secretly works his way up to impress other people. That's what I think... Jaejoong's charms is not within his hot looks, melodious voice, or even his great humour. His real charms lays within himself, the desire to be the best to make himself desirable. Other people has similar desires as well I'm sure, but Jaejoong's effort simply shows off this special glow within himself. Or am I the only one who can see it?

Anyways, please enjoy Jaejoong's latest composed song. I know I could only comprehend 85% of the song even though it's in English. Yeap, it was due to his weird pronunciation in some of the words. But the phrase that caught my attention at my first listen was 'I Had Too Many Second Chances...' It just felt like a whole fanfic all over again.

God, I haven't had these butterflies in a very long time...

♥ When You Think Too Much

Right now I'm listening to Dima Bilan's Believe again. It's been so long since I've listened to a foreign song that is not Korean or Japanese. The reason why I've suddenly mention about this is because I came across my old blog in wordpress, and this song was posted there along with its lyrics. After I revisited that blog, I felt like I need to change the layout of this blog (i know, totally random). I've been thinking about it for some time anyway. I want to do something different other than studying, and yet I'm afraid that the time will be lost. So changing the layout of this blog has been put into my pending list. Though, not doing this lead me into doing other useless things such as watching kdrama on viikii and downloading stuff from megaupload. I don't understand. Should I just let myself do whatever? Coz even when I prevent myself from doing something none beneficial, if my mind was set that I want to do that 'something', my studying will still get delayed no matter how I push that 'something' away until a later date.

I guess I should go easy on myself and let loose some ties. If I keep this up, I won't be able to accomplish the most of anything since I will keep on pondering on 'when should I do this', 'if I do this now, then I can do that later. but won't that take too much time? Maybe I should do it tomorrow' and even 'there's that movie going on today. I can watch it right? but what about my test? ah, that could wait until tomorrow. But!' which end up with me not doing either of them and just went to sleep for a whole 10 hours. People are saying that I sleep like babies. lol!

Anyways, I don't even know if I'm making sense so far, or if you would get what I mean. As what the title of this post says, I'm clearly thinking too much. I had so many things that I wish I could accomplish and yet I don't know which one I should start with, or if I should pursue two important dreams all at once. If that is even possible for a person like me...

I've also been thinking regarding youths in my home-country. It's been really critical on me, since I'm a type of person who enjoys discovering about culture and sociology (though I despise learning it formally). Every other second, the thoughts would randomly come up to me and I will start comparing Australia's youths with them, why this and why that... After being away from Malaysia for so many months and being accustomed with the culture here, I can't help but feel ashamed of our own youths. I can't help but conclude: 'no wonder the nation is full of corruption, has no unique identity and kept on left behind in plenty of things'. Just look at the youths that is supposed to shape the country's future! Ughhh... No wonder so many Malaysians have migrated here...

How thin headed could they be? In terms of admiring foreign cultures, why can't they see what's underneath them, what really shapes a culture into something honorable? Why does our youth kept on receiving EVERYTHING and never to produce and contribute? Why can't everyone in the nation stop thinking that what other people do is how things should be? Why can't they built their own dignity and personality, why must we live others'?

There are so many whys, and I wish I could just direct them specifically at the people around me. But I can't. Who would listen to a 21 year old like me and take my input seriously... Besides, I can't even express myself very well. People might get the wrong meaning of my words.

♥ Finally, pictures!

My ECON's results is out! And it's pretty good considering the alien-ish questions there were. I think I might be those who scored above average. There were quite a few who scored waaaaay better than I did, but there were also some who did pretty bad. I think some even failed the paper. Even though I didn't ace this particular paper, I'm content mainly because I'm still in the 7 grade range at the moment. Now all I need to do is work hard for my finals and secure the grade!

Here are some stalker pic of me during the MASCA raya celebration. The cameraman took pictures of EVERYONE, so there weren't so many of mine. But that's okay. I had fun and that's all that matters.

This was taken before the event started. We were still preparing and arranging stuff. And some of us were still discussing on how to present the desserts.

That's me at the bottom left corner. I was arranging cups of tepung pelita into a container. I didn't even realise there was a camera!

Me at work. The girl beside me is Aisyah, and the guy holding the tissue is the MC for the event. He's cutting the line to get food. LOL!

That's Nadia. I can't remember what we were talking about. I think it's something about 'Should we reserve some food for ourselves? The line looks like it's not getting any shorter.' haha!

♥ All The Reasons to S.M.I.L.E

Lately, I seem to have all the reasons to make myself smile. =) Yeap, please smile for me too! It's still the month of Syawal anyways~ hihii

But first of all, I'd like to apologise for not updating this blog since a few weeks ago. Midsem was on so I had to limit myself from writing too much nonsense. LOL! And I guess it paid off! Well, not for my ACCT paper though. I think I screwed on that paper because I can't set my focus on the right track during the test. I can't find anyone who can anyway. It was the 2nd of Syawal that day and it's our first time celebrating it thousands of miles away from our families. It just felt different, that's all. But I didn't really mess up on my other midsem papers. Mostly I scored a 6 according to UQ marking system, which could still be considered as an A. Though I had aimed for A* a.k.a 7. That's okay, I'll work on that. ;D Only one more paper's outcome is still pending, and it's already sending me chills every night. It's the ECON's paper and omg the questions really were THE pain in the neck! It felt the same as when I was answering my Finance paper, though  that one was fully MCQ. I can't decide which one was the hardest, but definitely both were a challenge. I made through Finance quite fine, and I hope I will too in Stats.

Anyways, seeing the good midsem results so far, that was the first few things that has been lifting my spirits up! Then came the MIDSEM BREAK~ weeeee~!!! Actually I wasn't that excited, but considering how tiring it was for the last few weeks, I was utterly grateful that the break is just around the corner. =) And just yesterday and the day before that, I was invited to open houses in conjuction with the raya celebration. Well, most of the students were having midsem exams during early Syawal, so all the main events of Syawal was postponed until last weekend. Both events that I went to was really fun! I took many pictures of when I was at the senior's house on Saturday, and I've posted all the pics on facebook. ;D Though I didn't get the chance to take any pictures during the MASCA raya celebration, because I was one of the volunteers, and I was too busy to even hold a camera/handphone in my hands. I hope the official cameraman took some pictures of me. hehe~ oh! and btw, we have plenty of food at our unit at the moment, due to the excess food after the event was over. There's rendang, nasi impit, fried spaghetti, kuah kacang, pulut kuning, and also tepung pelita! :D Yeah, I was a bit too greedy to ask to bring home all of those, but my stomach did ask for it! I just had to listen! wahaha!

That's some more of the reasons that made me smile. Fun and Food does get along well together right? ^_^ Well, the next thing is... my parcel arrived! yippee! After one and a half month... I wasn't completely devastated that my baju raya arrived just the day after the MASCA raya celebration was held. It's alright. Good thing I saved my favourite kurung pahang to be worn on that day. So it can still be considered as new for these Queenslanders~ LOL! So now I think I'm going to save this new baju raya for Hari Raya Haji! =) It's very pretty btw. Mom and Dad chose it for me, I just told them the colour. Hmm, maybe my sister helped too, I'm not sure. Cheongmal Kamsahamnida! <3 I love it! ^__^

And that's not all! I also aced my two latest quizzes!!! One of them was a perfect score. And the other one slacked by 1point. >_< That's alright. There's still CML4 and CML5. :D

♥ My Lips Are Sealed.

By not conversing, it doesn't mean that I have no thoughts or opinion. By appearing indifferent, it doesn't mean that I simply agree. I just don't like to speak up while having all the possible uncertainty and consequences linger at the back of my mind. I will end up thinking about things over and over until I stress myself and yet I will not voice anything out until I'm absolutely confident that my opinion WILL make a difference.

This is one thing that I find is not very good on my part.

I know most people are more interested in an outspoken individual. They would prefer that the person is able to express themselves in every way. Well, that is just NOT me. For me, I find talkative people by nature isn't as wise and thorough in their ideas and opinions. No offense, but my observation has assured me on that. And not all non-talkative people are wiser either. But most of them are. When we spend more time thinking than  talking, the mind works overtime and it develops better, and talking is just a practice or a medium to obtain input from other people's minds. But talking is not the only way to read people and understand either, body language is also as important.

Well, what I meant to say is, do not underestimate quiet people, because once they speak, you'll never know what will happen to the world tomorrow...

Gosh, this is such a great metaphor of what I really wanted to write about today *Yeah I do have something else in mind*. I am a person who hates to demand and cares about other people too much (many people told me that). I like to communicate with people through body language. I know not all people can read body language as good as I can, but I've assumed that at some point, something might get through to their thick heads.

I do have this weird talent of reading people at the slightest change in the tone of voice or a simple flinch of their muscle. It's difficult to explain, but I guess you can call it the 6th sense. I am quiet for a reason, and I observe for a reason too. I love to understand other people around me, even without exchanging conversation with one another. Your body can say it all even when your mind and lips tries hard to hide it, you know. ;D This is the beauty of looking underneath the surface, unlike some people who never even tries to comprehend.

I haven't said a single word even as pissed as I am right now. I'm thankful that one of you understood me even without me saying it to your faces. But I hope the other you might just stop what you're doing for a while and look behind you, see if you've left any mess behind. My dear, you have to understand that not all people can say absolutely everything that's on their mind like you do. I know you've told us to just tell you anything, even hurtful things. But I just can't! I can't even force myself to. Really, sometime you need to learn how to read body language.

I remembered that you once asked me if you were shallow. I know that it has something to do with my facebook status quite a while ago, which I had purposely written to get to you. In fact, most of my EMO facebook statuses are directed to you. I'm not mad at you, but I just want you to understand that there are my type of people out there. I don't share affections with friends as much as you do, because its annoying to me. But since we're living under the same roof, and it's already been your habit, I considered to just go with the flow. Though, really... I'm not keen AT ALL with the goodbye kisses on the cheek you gave me every time you're going out. I can live with bumping cheeks just as perfectly, but kisses? Hell NO! I know that you just wanted to show that you love me as a friend, but that is just too much, you know? You can do it to other people for all I care, but just not me please. The more you force it on me, the more I'll get annoyed, and from there I will ignore you.

Ok, we're a bit off topic. Nope, you're not shallow. I repeat, not shallow at all! You totally misunderstood the meaning of the words I wrote on my facebook status. Yes, I'm the kind of person who LOVES to use multiple meanings, that only the person I direct it to will understand. But it seemed that you're a bit too short-sighted in your line of thoughts than what I have assumed, that you didn't catch what I was trying to say. No offense, but I think you're that kind of person. You don't look at things in depth enough to know what's underneath, and what's even below that. There's this one time you asked me why I took accounting and finance instead of science courses considering that I took pure science during my SPM, and I replied to you saying that I think social sciences subjects are wide, have many possibilities, and it relates to everything. But then your short mind just had to argue that science courses are wider and have even more possibilities. Helloooooo~ I didn't say that they're not! Why are you so proud in taking science subjects anyways? I didn't ditch my sciences because I were stupid at it, okay. I just find social sciences more intriguing on my part. I like abstract thinking, and I got tired of having everything written down in books. It's boring. Answers for scientific questions are clearly written on paper and journals, but for social sciences question, you have to think. Just take Management courses for an example, people say its hard because it doesn't have any specific answer for its questions. Well, that's the whole point! That's the adventure I've been looking for in life, indefinite but possible in every single way. I can say that there aren't any discipline that is better than the other. There are just passion and interest in either field, since they are the complete opposite of each other, but they work just as similarly, though not quite. So stop bragging!

And to say that I might not be qualified to take science-based courses at UQ, that's totally wrong. I have 13 a-level points, and pharmacy only need 11 points. If I've wanted to, I can easily take that course. But I'm just not interested, so stop comparing between the two. Because again, it's ANNOYING.

And one more thing, I don't do things that i don't like to other people because I don't want other people to do it to me. So if I've been kind enough to keep the house clean, please don't take it for granted. I want you to do the same. And don't give excuses that you're busy and such, I am too. Even though I have four free-from-classes days, it doesn't mean that I don't have readings to do at home. I've taken both science and social sciences subjects even if its at different levels, so I know all the differences. So don't give me those load of crap as if I don't know how busy you science people are. Give and take here, please.

p/s: I've been wanting to speak this out, but being a silent person as I am, I will just write it out. It comes out of me in a much better way anyways. And there are more things I'm still not telling you, but I'll keep that to myself just a little while longer.

p.p/s: The bowl is mine. ASK if you want to use it. And WASH after using it. Don't piss me off!

♥ Undecided

This post isn't written for any specific purpose. I just had a crave to write something, and this matter came to mind. And since I just watched the news a few minutes ago, I just wanted to get the thought out of my mind so that I can continue to study peacefully tonight. LOL!

At first I was amused and a tiny bit excited to watch Australia's National election take place this year as its my first whole year staying in Australia as an International student. The election was already held in August 21st actually. There are 3 political parties that I've got to know about: Labor, Liberal and The Greens. But out of these three, only 2 had been dominating the election scene, which is the Labor and Liberal parties. I can't match who leads what because I tend to get them switched at some point, but I know that the two head of parties that had been competing with each other were Julia Gillard (PM) and Tony Abbott (Opposition). Well, don't blame me, two popular parties that starts with 'L' isn't always the easiest to distinguish for this new foreigner~ XP

The Parliamentary seats were halved after the election, as Liberal and Labor each won 71 and 72 seats. If this was Malaysia, I think the Labor party will immediately be announced as the winner of the election. But since this is Australia, everything is yet to be announced, because now they're in the stage of getting votes from other important people in the political scene. Either one of them who gets the more recognition from wise leaders will get to lead the new government *which I hope won't be Mr Tony*. haha! It's not that I have a grudge against him or anything, but my observation tells me that Australians would prefer NOT to have him as a leader. XD And seeing him for who the media had portray him as, I don't think I'd want it as well. -__-'

All I'd like to say is, I miss Kevin Rudd... I want him back as the Prime Minister. If there hasn't been the argument about the mining tax, Kevin Rudd would still be the PM, and he'd easily win this election, as I'm sure most Australians still loves him. Just look how much the preference for Labor party decreased after Julia Gillard takes over. *sigh*

And as what the Quran says (not quoting specifically), women are not meant to lead the men, and if they do, the nation will cease to develop to be as powerful as those lead by men. Unless the women takes the lead from their husband on behalf, then things might just turn out a little better. In which I have to agree. The purpose of why men were created as men and women as women is divine. It is not wrong to demand for equality between the two, but some things are just not meant to be questioned. And at some point, the women should be willing to surrender at any cost.

I really don't prefer in Julia Gillard taking over, but I don't want Mr Tony to take over either. I want Mr kevin Rudd!

♥ Spring is Here!

BLOOM OH FLOWER, BLOOM! ^^*

It is the 1st of September and this marks the starting point of Spring in the south hemisphere! *woot* There's not much difference in terms of blooming flowers just yet, since the jacaranda trees are still full of leaves. But there are definitely some others which just can't wait to attract the bees' attention! Oh by the way, these Bunga Raya has been bloming since the middle of winter, and what's interesting about it is that it blooms during the day, and it curls up during the night! I thought only morning glories do that~ XP And just imagine the size of the flower. I'm glad that I'm greeted by these flowers every time I'm on my way to and from uni. :D

I just found out that UQ is part of this group, which consists of 23 top research-intensive universities in the world! Other universities are:

  22. University of Connecticut (USA)
  23. University of Virginia (USA)

... being the bolded ones where I would like to be at~ XD Yeah, some of the universities I didn't even expect to make it to the list. Come on, University of Notts in the UK? I've only seen that university as having the most Malaysian cramped inside it than any other overseas universities~ lol! no offense guys hahah~ But yeah. And I was a wee bit surprised that none of the well-known top universities in the UK such as LSE or Cambridge are part of the list. Maybe they didn't do as much research, or maybe they think they're too good that this petty group is not even worth joining for.

    Well, whatever...

Here's a profile article of UQ taken from their offical site. ;D

The University of Queensland (UQ) ranked top 50 in the world by the Times Higher Education Supplement, is one of Australia’s premier learning and research institutions and has won more Australian Awards for University Teaching than any other university in Australia.

It is the largest and oldest university in Queensland and has produced generations of graduates who have gone on to become leaders in all areas of society and industry. Internationally renowned for its highly-awarded teaching staff, acclaimed researchers and superior campus facilities and environment, UQ boasts a longstanding reputation for quality and excellence, which is reinforced by affiliations with prestigious national and international groups.

The University is a founding member of the prestigious Group of Eight (Go8) — an alliance of Australian universities committed to maintaining the highest international standards. UQ is also one of only three Australian members of Universitas 21, an elite international network of leading research-intensive universities.

The University of Queensland graduates are in demand throughout Australia and the world and include a Nobel Laureate, an Oscar winner, a Governor-General, premiers, governors, chief justices, Australian and overseas government ministers, champions of sport, business and the arts and an almost unbroken line of Rhodes Scholars.

Today, more than 37,900 students, including 7500 international students from around 120 countries, study across four superb south-east Queensland campuses at St Lucia, Herston, Ipswich and Gatton. UQ St Lucia, the university’s largest campus, is situated in Brisbane, a dynamic capital city known for its excellent climate, safe environment and affordable quality of life.

Students at UQ choose from more than 350 high-quality programs and 4000 courses, including full-degree, Study Abroad, student exchange, English language training, and an academic foundation bridging program.

And yeah, UQ is definitely one of the members of the Group of 8, which is a cluster of the best universities in Australia. It's a bit similar like the Ivy League, minus the corruption LOL!

Anyways, it's good to know that your university has its own hidden quality that will make it stand out more than the others. =) I won't complaint anymore~

p/s: I got to eat Ais Kacang yesterday! OMG, Ais Kacang during winter~ o.O I was freezing cold when I was walking back home that night, plus its VERY windy that I had a hard time walking forward. God, please let spring come more quickly. >__<
