♥ 0.5 Can Make A Difference

Another sheeeeaat coming your way, be warned! LOL!

I just submitted my last finance quiz. This time I did the whole quiz while concentrating ONLY on the quiz and nothing else, not even listening to any music. And guess what? I SCREWED BIG TIME! puahahaa~ I was aiming for a nine since one of the question is totally out of this world (I think I missed that part somewhere in the lecture, or was it the lecturer who forgot to mention it in class?) Well... Technically, I SHOULD get a nine, but ended up with a seven. If only I didn't make those stupid mistakes. -__-' Guess I learned my lesson yet again... bahh~ Maybe I should always do multiple jobs at once since I seem to do better while at them. hmmmm. Now I'm worried for my exam. Like.. anxiously worried. Even as careful as I prepared myself to be, who knows what will happen on the day itself?

*prays to God that everything will be OK*

Hey you! Pray for me too!!

:D Thanks! GOD BLESS Y'ALL~

p/s: The 0.5 stated above is the difference in my carry-mark if I have had a nine for the last quiz. LOL! Well, it COULD make the difference! A grade 7 is damn hard to get you know! for me, that is.. *sigh*

♥ YATTA~!!

:D Full marks for my finance quiz yet again! I did it while listening to Tohoshinki's 2nd LIVE TOUR 2007 'Five In The Black' and Tohoshinki's 'Video Clip Collection -THE ONE-' DVDs on TV. hehe~ While watching Micky Yoochun shed tears during the double encore, I submitted the quiz and voila! Ahhhh... I'm good at multi-tasking, aren't I? LOL!

But seriously... I miss watching TVXQ's LIVE performance as five, seeing them fooling around on stage and showing off their talents and handsome figures. And my favourite concert DVD is not with me. Oh, baby I miss you~~

♥ All The Reasons to S.M.I.L.E

Lately, I seem to have all the reasons to make myself smile. =) Yeap, please smile for me too! It's still the month of Syawal anyways~ hihii

But first of all, I'd like to apologise for not updating this blog since a few weeks ago. Midsem was on so I had to limit myself from writing too much nonsense. LOL! And I guess it paid off! Well, not for my ACCT paper though. I think I screwed on that paper because I can't set my focus on the right track during the test. I can't find anyone who can anyway. It was the 2nd of Syawal that day and it's our first time celebrating it thousands of miles away from our families. It just felt different, that's all. But I didn't really mess up on my other midsem papers. Mostly I scored a 6 according to UQ marking system, which could still be considered as an A. Though I had aimed for A* a.k.a 7. That's okay, I'll work on that. ;D Only one more paper's outcome is still pending, and it's already sending me chills every night. It's the ECON's paper and omg the questions really were THE pain in the neck! It felt the same as when I was answering my Finance paper, though  that one was fully MCQ. I can't decide which one was the hardest, but definitely both were a challenge. I made through Finance quite fine, and I hope I will too in Stats.

Anyways, seeing the good midsem results so far, that was the first few things that has been lifting my spirits up! Then came the MIDSEM BREAK~ weeeee~!!! Actually I wasn't that excited, but considering how tiring it was for the last few weeks, I was utterly grateful that the break is just around the corner. =) And just yesterday and the day before that, I was invited to open houses in conjuction with the raya celebration. Well, most of the students were having midsem exams during early Syawal, so all the main events of Syawal was postponed until last weekend. Both events that I went to was really fun! I took many pictures of when I was at the senior's house on Saturday, and I've posted all the pics on facebook. ;D Though I didn't get the chance to take any pictures during the MASCA raya celebration, because I was one of the volunteers, and I was too busy to even hold a camera/handphone in my hands. I hope the official cameraman took some pictures of me. hehe~ oh! and btw, we have plenty of food at our unit at the moment, due to the excess food after the event was over. There's rendang, nasi impit, fried spaghetti, kuah kacang, pulut kuning, and also tepung pelita! :D Yeah, I was a bit too greedy to ask to bring home all of those, but my stomach did ask for it! I just had to listen! wahaha!

That's some more of the reasons that made me smile. Fun and Food does get along well together right? ^_^ Well, the next thing is... my parcel arrived! yippee! After one and a half month... I wasn't completely devastated that my baju raya arrived just the day after the MASCA raya celebration was held. It's alright. Good thing I saved my favourite kurung pahang to be worn on that day. So it can still be considered as new for these Queenslanders~ LOL! So now I think I'm going to save this new baju raya for Hari Raya Haji! =) It's very pretty btw. Mom and Dad chose it for me, I just told them the colour. Hmm, maybe my sister helped too, I'm not sure. Cheongmal Kamsahamnida! <3 I love it! ^__^

And that's not all! I also aced my two latest quizzes!!! One of them was a perfect score. And the other one slacked by 1point. >_< That's alright. There's still CML4 and CML5. :D

♥ Universitas 21

I just found out that UQ is part of this group, which consists of 23 top research-intensive universities in the world! Other universities are:

  1. University of Melbourne (Australia)
  2. University of New South Wales (Australia)
  3. University of Queensland (You are here)
  4. University of British Columbia (Canada)
  5. McGill University (Canada)
  6. Fudan University (China)
  7. Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China)
  8. University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong)
  9. University of Delhi (Inida)
  10. University College Dublin (Ireland)
  11. Waseda University (Japan)
  12. Techologico de Monterrey (Mexico)
  13. University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands)
  14. University of Auckland (New Zealand)
  15. National University of Singapore (Singapore)
  16. Korea University (South Korea)
  17. Lund University (Sweden)
  18. University of Birmingham (United Kingdom)
  19. University of Edinburgh (United Kindom)
  20. University of Glasgow (United Kingdom)
  21. University of Nottingham (United Kingdom)
  22. University of Connecticut (USA)
  23. University of Virginia (USA)

... being the bolded ones where I would like to be at~ XD Yeah, some of the universities I didn't even expect to make it to the list. Come on, University of Notts in the UK? I've only seen that university as having the most Malaysian cramped inside it than any other overseas universities~ lol! no offense guys hahah~ But yeah. And I was a wee bit surprised that none of the well-known top universities in the UK such as LSE or Cambridge are part of the list. Maybe they didn't do as much research, or maybe they think they're too good that this petty group is not even worth joining for.

    Well, whatever...

Here's a profile article of UQ taken from their offical site. ;D

The University of Queensland (UQ) ranked top 50 in the world by the Times Higher Education Supplement, is one of Australia’s premier learning and research institutions and has won more Australian Awards for University Teaching than any other university in Australia.

It is the largest and oldest university in Queensland and has produced generations of graduates who have gone on to become leaders in all areas of society and industry. Internationally renowned for its highly-awarded teaching staff, acclaimed researchers and superior campus facilities and environment, UQ boasts a longstanding reputation for quality and excellence, which is reinforced by affiliations with prestigious national and international groups.

The University is a founding member of the prestigious Group of Eight (Go8) — an alliance of Australian universities committed to maintaining the highest international standards. UQ is also one of only three Australian members of Universitas 21, an elite international network of leading research-intensive universities.

The University of Queensland graduates are in demand throughout Australia and the world and include a Nobel Laureate, an Oscar winner, a Governor-General, premiers, governors, chief justices, Australian and overseas government ministers, champions of sport, business and the arts and an almost unbroken line of Rhodes Scholars.

Today, more than 37,900 students, including 7500 international students from around 120 countries, study across four superb south-east Queensland campuses at St Lucia, Herston, Ipswich and Gatton. UQ St Lucia, the university’s largest campus, is situated in Brisbane, a dynamic capital city known for its excellent climate, safe environment and affordable quality of life.

Students at UQ choose from more than 350 high-quality programs and 4000 courses, including full-degree, Study Abroad, student exchange, English language training, and an academic foundation bridging program.

And yeah, UQ is definitely one of the members of the Group of 8, which is a cluster of the best universities in Australia. It's a bit similar like the Ivy League, minus the corruption LOL!

Anyways, it's good to know that your university has its own hidden quality that will make it stand out more than the others. =) I won't complaint anymore~

p/s: I got to eat Ais Kacang yesterday! OMG, Ais Kacang during winter~ o.O I was freezing cold when I was walking back home that night, plus its VERY windy that I had a hard time walking forward. God, please let spring come more quickly. >__<

    ♥ Burn Down UQ?

UQ experienced disruptions to University IT services, caused by a small fire in one of the University’s three data centres early Sunday morning. Student email was not affected. The University has given priority to student services which are now back online but operating at a reduced capacity in the short term. Please check your email for details.

This happened last Sunday. I had a quiz due on that day and I was deadly surprised that I can't access the Blackboard that morning! (its the site for our online learning, where all the lecture notes are posted and all the online tests takes place) Even the my.UQ website and the student's email were down. I was so worried that the site would still be inaccessible until night since my ECON1320 quiz was due at 8pm. Damn, why do they pick the wrong day to start the fire LOL!

But everything came back on around 3pm so I was glad. :)

And seems like the fire did a good thing! Because I didn't manage to get a good score for my CML1 of ECON1320, and the course coordinator had decided to bend the rules a bit for this particular session of online test. They will have a 3rd attempt prepared for CML1 (usually there will only be two and the 2nd attempt's results overrides the first) and they'll even record the highest score out of the three! So I can do ALL the attempts without getting worried that my latter attempts scored less than the previous ones, YIPPPEEEE~!!!

Now I'll only have to make space for this additional attempts. I still have FINM2401's online quiz to settle within 10 days... And the assignment guide for my management course has just been released! Looks like my stress level is making its way up and up!! ^_^ <--- yeahh, let's treat it like it's the best thing in the world~ XD

p/s: so happy that my flight back to malaysia has been confirmed~ Thanks daddy!!! hahaha I'm gonna fly back with MAS with plenty of entertainment and a comfortable seat! YEHEAAAYYY~ :D

    ♥ MORE PICS!~

Hey everyone! I'm finally back for a while! OMG how I missed to write on this blog so much. When I was writing out my assignments, I was constantly reminded of writing nonsense in The Advent Hope~ How I could leisurely ramble and not mind of how the outcome might be. But when I'm writing out my Marketing Plan, ughhhhh... Not only I have to make it sound formal, but we have word limits for it! So I really have to compress the whole semester's syllabus and still make it sound heavily elaborated and convincing in only 3000words... @_@

Anyways, now that I'm finished with my part of the Marketing Plan, I'm going to spend at least an hour here and ramble ON and ON until you're bored and tired and close this window hahahaha! Now let's move on to more picture-story time!!! woohoooo!~~ ^_^

Consider this as a warm up photo~ XD It's actually the road I use to get to uni everyday. The uni is behind me as I'm taking this picture btw. The field at the front there is the field I used to lay down and have marketing group discussions. The red, white and yellow lines on the road are their zebra-crossing. As I've once mentioned, when you cross the road in Aussie, you can walk as slow as you want and still won't get honked by the driver (unlike in Malaysia~ =.=).

The bulding on the right is the Sir Llew Edwards Building, where I usually had my Accounting tutorial. This is just a pathway that I seldom use but I suddenly had the urge to take a picture of it since it has so many small steps. UQ really has it's own contours, even though not so obvious like in UiTM Shah Alam. hahaha!

That's the signboard towards my Faculty-Business, Economics and Law! haha not that I have any classes held there. I have my class all over the uni, but when it comes to administrative stuff like submitting MAJOR assignments, you have to submit them here. And in case you want to go for consult (meeting the lecturer or tutors if you have any questions since we have very limited contact time in class), this will be the place, because staff offices are in this very building.

This is another signboard to the Business School, a different building from the 1st one, but they're next to each other. I have my Marketing tutorial here. It's a very nice building, with a rooftop terrace where people/students can hold events especially when they want to enjoy the cool breeze of the night. A Malaysian society once had a 'Makan-Makan Night' where they invite all Malaysians to eat MALAYSIAN FOOD there, including mee mamak, roti canai, teh tarik and also various types of kuih-muih. And its free!! But that was held last semester when I wasn't here. This semester, they held it at another place, and we had to pay for the food in DOLLARS~ =.= I didn't go for it.

THIS... is the West End Market. hehehe. Look a lot like Pasar Malam? ehhh... Pasar Pagi?? Well, it does look a bit like it, but everywhere is CLEANER~ XD Even the sections selling beef, mutton and seafood are CLEAN and NOT SMELLY. hahaha~ okok I shouldn't make fun of my own home country. But still, it's the truth. They sell LOTS of things here, from handicrafts, breakfast, ice-cream, farm-made honey, groceries, and there's even a stall selling the service for plucking out eye-brows! XD Though, the main highlight of the West End Market is that everything that is sold here is made by the seller themselves. Meaning, they didn't buy it from another supplier and re-sell it. That's what I love most about this place, its ORIGINALITY.

And btw, that man sitting on the right there is actually doing free performance of himself playing the.... urmmm I don't know what that instrument is called, but its an old instrument. He was quite good at playing it! And at one point, there's this Aussie women who started dancing to the music he played and it was so lovely! I was waiting in front of a stall nearby and waited for more crowd to join and made it look like a mini celebration, but it didn't happen. Awww, and I didn't even get the chance to capture the dancing scene, because I was too engulfed with the situation and totally forgot that I had a camera~ hahah!

Yeahhh~ :D More free performance at the West End market! I don't even remember the exact name of that instrument and I'd just call it the BIG VIOLIN. hahaha!! He kept on playing some tune and it was also lovely and AMUSING~ ^_^ *DUM DUM DUMMM*

heheee... now its time for some more animal feature. Who can guess what these are? Birds? Hmmm, not really. They are DUCKS! Very beautiful and elegant DUCKS. I have no idea what they're doing here, but they started appearing along the streets as winter is approaching. =) Their feathers is simply beautiful with the shades of grey, black and dark brown. I've never seen DUCKS so lovely~ <3

And that's a stalkER. hehe... This long-legged birds just LOVE to roam around the Great Court in search of scraps. Sometime they might come near to you and just wait. Even when you shoo them away, they won't budge and will just stare back at you looking blurry~ But yeahhh, this is one of the usual things you will see in Australia, since you will NEVER see any stray cats or stray dogs anywhere. The only things that are left astray in Australia are turkeys and this bird.... =.=''

Aahhhhh this is a very very VERY VERYYYY old picture. It is actually the first ever full meal that I've prepared all by myself in Australia. Look appetizing? I hope so~ >.< My housemate liked it so I was relieved~ hahaha!!

And this one is the second or maybe third full meal that I've prepared for my housemates. You see, we have this cooking timetable (as what overseas students usually have when they live with other students by themselves) so my turn is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So, during those days, I'll have to sacrifice some of my time and cook for the household. =) So, does this one looks more edible? XD

Previously, it took me quite a long time to prepare a meal, but after 3 months of playing around with ingredients, I find myself being more creative and fast! :D Since we don't have that many resources aka ingredients (usually due to the busy-ness to go to the city to re-stock the fridge), we tend to make whatever from the things that we have left. So we don't really eat rice with two types of side dish like in Malaysia. At one time, we even end up eating TomYam Pasta! hahaha, not that I've ever heard of such dish... But yeap, I was the one who made it two days ago. XD

Yeahhhhhh winter is approaching~ This particular pic was taken a few weeks back I think. Just as it was approaching winter, suddenly that tree started to bloom~ LOL! I thought flowers are supposed to bloom more in spring!

And LASTLY, this picture was taken a few minutes ago~ ^_^ Gosh it's really chilly outside. Even though it's not as cold as the European countries or even the so-called RUSSIA, the change in weather really had its toll on me. No, I'm not having a fever or anything! Don't worry. My body is much stronger than that. ;D But yeahh, the huge temperature difference between the day and night is really hard to adjust to. It's better to be in the European countries because all you need to do is continuously get use to the decreasing temperature and that's all. But here, in the tropical country, it can turn out to be very hot in the day and SUPER COLD at night. And it changes EVERY DAY. *SIGH* So it sort of fluctuates your body temperature randomly~ @_@

So that's all for now. I better get back to writing my other assignment which is due Friday next week. The sooner I get this over with, THE BETTER! I just want to start on revising for my final exam which will start on 17th June. *SIGH SIGH* Why are they doing this to me. They should've at least let me enjoy my birthday first. I don't really mind having the exam during the morning, so that I can at least enjoy the evenings. But the paper on that day starts at 5.45pm and it's already DARK! I'll have to end up studying the whole day for my birthday this year... And it's all for my first final paper... =.=

♥ Let the picture do the talking...

Gosh it's so cold right now. I'm shivering to my bones! >.< Maybe its because I've just visited the bathroom LOL. Oh, the water heater is done now. I'm gonna make myself a hot choc for a sec ya. I'll be back~

    .
    ...
    .......

I'M BACK! And I lied~ ^^ I made tea instead. Because I just bought a new carton of milk and I don't want to use it yet~ Anyways, I've decided to take the night off of studying. Not because of tiredness. But just the fact that I miss going online so leisurely and carefreely. So tonight, it's just going to be you and me~ ;)

And todays agenda is about PICS! :D I've decided that I just had too much story to tell, so instead of telling them one by one and make this blog into a documentary or something, let's just look through some of my pictures and let it do all the talking~ hehe yeah it's also because I'm feeling kinda lazy..

So here comes our photos! It's just a few, I'll add more when I figure out where I threw the others LOL!

This is my latest self-taken pic I had on my mobile phone~ =) It's taken while I'm on my way back home from a Marketing Group Meeting. Yeah, we sat on the grass and just laid around leisurely while discussing stuff for our presentation. The building at the background there is called the Forgan Smith Building. It's sort of one of the icons of UQ. And if I must say, it's actually quite cold then, even though you can see the sun shining and the clouds are clear. Especially when the wind blows, you'll know that it's autumn~ ^^
Oh, and that's the well-known LAWS textbook I've always mentioned about. It's not that thick, but there's just A LOT to read. @-@

Awhhhh, aren't they cute? Right after I took the previous picture, I noticed these birds were at my feet all along. I think they were searching for scraps of food in between the grass. But I doubt they'll find any. Or where they just playing and enjoying the cold Brisbane breeze just like me? =) BTW, more came when I started to snap a few more pictures of these friendly birds. They didn't even flew away when I came closer. Such adorable creatures~ ^^

Yeah, that's another type of bird you might not see everyday on the streets. It's a parrot I tell you. The wings are grey and their body are red. They're the most lovely creature I've ever encountered on the streets! Actually, I was on my way to the bus stop when we came across a group of parrots on the sidewalk.

Yup! It's a whole group of them! And I have no idea what they're poking at. When we came closer, they took a few steps backwards. Though they didn't fly away. Seems like birds in Aussie are not scared of humans AT ALL~
So, after taking these pictures, we went through the sidewalk (and sort of purposely waving our arms around) and caused all the parrots to fly a few meters away and they came back once we've left that parameter~ XD Naughty birds... ==' Oh, btw, I was with Farhah.

Have I introduced you to the Great Court before? Haha of course not. That is the picture of the Great Court that I've taken right after I've exited one of the buildings circling the Great Court (Richards Building). This is an old pic, so it was still warm and cozy. Look at how bright the sun shines. I think I need to make a transition glasses once I'm back in Malaysia at the end of this year. The sun shine here is just TOO bright! It might damage my eyes sooner and later or make my eye-sight worse.
BTW, the Great Court of UQ is said to also be the icon of Brisbane. One day when I was just walking around UQ after 5pm and there was not many people around, I saw a newly married couple came here with their limousine and their butler and their photographer, just to take pictures with the background of the Great Court. Really, it's a very beauriful place. You should come here and both of us can sit down on the green grass, have a chat+snack while watching the birds and feel the soft/strong wind blew on your face and make you shiver slightly... I swear, the feeling is awesome~ =)

I was actually having lunch. And the friend that I'm with went to the toilet and I got bored and started snapping pictures on my mobile phone. Hehe. In case you're wondering, I ate Fish N Chips which I bought from the cafe at UQ Union for $6.10. Woahaa, don't convert lahhh. XD

Yeahh, one of the pics I took during that lunch. I was bored of taking pics of myself so I decided to take a picture of my bag and my froggie key-chain! Isn't it lovely? ^^ Oh, that bag is the one that I bought from West End market for $39.95. It's lovingly hand-woven and I lovingly LOVE IT! :D And I put it on the slightly wet grass LOL! No worries, is machine washable~ XD

Another view of the Great Court. Notice the white camp. *direct translation of khemah =,='* It's for the Centenary Celebration tomorrow! UQ Centenary Celebration is UQ's 100th year anniversary since it was opened in 1910. Imagine being admitted after exactly 100 years later... Even our Student IDs are added with special features~ :D which is a '100 Years Ahead' logo LOL!
Oh yeahh, it was even colder when I snapped all these new 'Lunch at the Great Court' pics. The wind sent me shivering... Drrrr~

Another old self-taken picture. This is after I finished my ECON tute at Richards Building. See, I'm holding the LAWS textbook still. =.= It shows how much I really pay attention to the subject. And my friends have noticed how hard-working I am in studying the textbook itself. For them, they only flip through the needed pages or only when the final is coming nearer (reading the chapters that will come up in the finals), other than that, they'll just rely on the lecture notes and the lectopia - recorded lecture in mp3 format.

Hmmm, I actually have more to show you guys, but I don't know what's wrong with bloggers. I can't seem to post anymore pictures! =( Whatever. At least they should've let me finish this entry first... Anyways, thanks for spending some time reading this. I hope you enjoyed. Until next time!! <3

    ♥ Settled! ^_^

Alhamdulillah~ Most of the things that I need to do before flying to Australia is done. I've just lodged in an online Visa Application through IDP this afternoon and I've already received their reply saying that my application was granted an hour ago! I mean, that was DAMN FAST! I was told that the earliest might take 3 days and the latest might be within 2 weeks, but this is LESS THAN 12 HOURS! I guess Australia is just too eager to invite me into their country~ loL!!

So after my I've received my visa, now I can settle all the paperwork needed for my permanent accommodation. It's a bit blurry for me. I know that I have to include the copy of my UQ offer letter, passport, visa, financial affidavit... what else? Um, better check with that housemate of mine later~

And OH! I've decided already! I'm gonna choose the flight on 21st! Screw the jet-lag! I'd rather be tired than having to intrude other people in the middle of the night... ^_^ So now all I have to do is confirm my flight date with PNB and book the airport reception...

Then... what else do I have to do??

Aaahh~ yes yes. I've just received my UQ student e-mail, username and password to access all the online stuff at UQ. Including my course enrollment. Hm, this really reminded me of UiTM hehe~ So now I need to read the manual a.k.a guide and start making finalization on the courses I'd like to take this semester... =) Hope I won't make any errors.

oh.. this is just a random pic I'm posting because I miss mirmira so much!

    ♥ Take-a-peek!

Yeah, as some of you might hear, I'll be furthering my studies at UQ this year. UQ is short for University of Queensland in case you don't know. =) Actually I didn't want to publicise about this even to my own friends, because I really hate the idea of the measuring and comparing. And most of my friends tend to do that, and it's really annoying. I mean, it is a good thing if they asked me about my latest updates out of the care of their pure hearts and hoped that I'll get to further my studies in a good university so that we can succeed together, even at different places. But if the reason they ask is so that they could brag about their better achievements or better luck, well... that just sucks. So it's better that I keep quiet and save myself from the fires of anger. And since those friends of mine are unaware of the existence of this blog, so it is very safe for me to tell my story here, for the benefit of those who will be going to Australia after me.. Who knows~ =)

And in case any of you actually wondered how good this university that I'll be attending is, save the journey to Google because I've searched it up for you. (Yes, I admit that I'm very curious too. Just up to the point for me to be able to have expectations):

From THES (Times Higher Education Supplement) University Rankings 2009,

    1. ANU (Australian National University) [17]
    2. Uni. of Melbourne [36]
    2. Uni. of Sydney [36]
    4. UQ (University of Queensland) [41]
    5. Monash University [45]
    6. UNSW (University of New South Wales) [47]
    7. University of Adelaide [81]

note: Uni. of Melbourne and Uni. of Sydney are stuck on the same rank, so there's no No. 3. It's not a typing error. And the square brackets represent the university's world ranking.

Not bad at all, is it? And PNB only allowed us to go either to Uni. of Melbourne and UQ. Yes, I've came across the '2008 Business Schools in Australia Ranking' and it stated UNSW (not even in PNB's list T.T) as one of the top and UQ is at rank 5 or 6. Well, since I'm sponsored and everything about my education and career is now in the hands of PNB, I don't really care...

That is why I'm quite stressed when people start comparing and make my life miserable by pointing back at my past. I know I've made a considerable (and maybe unforgivable) amount of mistakes, but you know what? I've never regret making them! I've already considered it as part of my history so that I can learn from it and MOVE ON! Otherwise, I might commit them later in my life anyway, which could turn out much worse. So just be thankful for what has happened, okay?

Anyways, enough of that. My initial attention was to post some pictures that I stalked from UQ's facebook group. hehe~ It's not my first time flying to Brisbane, Australia, but I haven't came across such beautiful view during my 5-day visit a LONG time ago. It really reminded me of the Sakura flower of Japan.

Beautiful, isn't it? Perhaps it only blooms during spring, and when I came here previously, it was already autumn... Owh, btw the flower's name is 'jacaranda' if I'm not mistaken.

And down here are some more pics of the flower in close-up and UQ buildings.

That building is one of UQ's main building. I forgot the name...

The UQ lake's view at dusk.

I feel like being in Harry Potter's filming set. LOL!

UQ is really proud of this part of the architecture. The arc carvings, I mean...

    The lake during the day.

    UQ Customs.

    Bus-stop.

    Administrative Area.

Look at the length! They're waiting for a bus~ *sigh*

    Air view of UQ...

So now, all I'm waiting for is my financial affidavit from PNB. Once i receive that, I can submit them to IDP to receive my eCOE (Confirmation of Enrollment), which then allows me to apply for my student visa. Only when I get my visa can I apply for my accommodation... tsk tsk...
