♥ Malaysia VS Australia Trivia

AT THE SUPERMARKET

Malaysia: At the cashier, you just shove all that is in your trolley to the table, the cashier takes each of the goods, scan the price, pack it for you (or you pack it yourself), total the amount, take the cash/credit card from you, hand you the receipt and you leave. No hellos and no goodbyes. No social interactions at all. (well, except for when they announce the total of your spending or when they ask for a membership card etc of course...)
Australia: The moment you step in front of them when it is your turn, the cashier will immediately start the conversation with the customers by saying "Hello, how are you?" at the very least. And we should reply, "I'm good/fine. How about you?" And while you're having this short conversation, the cashier starts scanning the prices and pack the goods. And before we leave, they will say "Thank you. Have a good day!" And we will usually reply, "Thanks. You too~"

Malaysia: We use plastic bags to pack our things. ALWAYS the plastic bags.
Australia: It is already a common thing for shoppers here to bring a shopping trolley/bags of their own. It's not that you would have to pay for the supermarket's plastic bags though.

ON THE ROAD

Malaysia: The drivers thinks they are always right. And they drive VERY fast. Pedestrians will have to have an extra look out for the drivers particularly and when pedestrians crosses the road, they RUN to avoid from getting hit.
Australia: Pedestrians are the country's priority. We still have to look out for cars IN CASE they don't see us trying to cross the road. But when we are crossing the road, NO ONE RUNS across to avoid from getting hit, because the cars will willingly stop and wait for the pedestrian to arrive at the other side of the road no matter how long they take or how slow they were walking. They are very patient drivers.

Malaysia: The most cars you see on the road are either Proton/Perodua, the common models of Mercedes (E, C and S series), usual models of BMW and Volvo, and Toyota/Honda cars...
Australia: Common cars here are Nissan Skyline, Porsche, Mitsubishi Lancer, Mercedes CLK series, Bentley, JAEJOONG'S AUDI and all those fast cars that we could only see once in a blue moon in Malaysian highways. I swear I saw a Rolls Royce at Fortitude Valley once, just leisurely passing by... *jealous* Ohh, next time I want to have a look out for a Ferrari. I'm not sure if I've seen it yet~

These are the few that has crossed my mind now. I'm still in search of more trivias and when I have more, I'll post them as part 2~ ^_^ Gotta get back to my notes now. Hope you had fun reading! =)
