| ♥ Brisbane QBE Riverfire 2010 I only knew about this festival TWO days before its actual event date! OMG. Riverfire is like the annual 'play with the fireworks' kind of night, I think. It was the coolest thing ever! And I've missed it! We had our usual Iftar With The Girls yesterday night, and the event started at around 7pm, which was when we were performing Isya' and tarawih prayers. And this time it was held at one of our coursemate's house in Taringa. It's a bit far from St Lucia, but its a lovely place, very hilly~ XD (I saw a Bentley parked outside of their neighbour's house! This is insane!!) Since the Riverfire was held at Brisbane River, definitely we won't have the closest view, but we can still see it from afar! Gosh, it was BEAUTIFUL! Very colourful, and definitely TOO MUCH fireworks! And very noisy even from Taringa lol! The Riverfire is held all the way along the Brisbane River, so there aren't any specific place you can sit at and be able to watch everything. Unless you're watching it from the sky. =) I found some good videos on it. As if a ball of fire just came out of nowhere into the sky. It was loud and VERY bright! And it roamed the sky for a while. One of my friends commented that it sort of felt like The End of Days~ And just now I thought the ball of fire looked like a relative of Superman is coming to visit. XD Haha! They say that September is the festival month in Brisbane. It's only been the 5th of September, I wonder what else they have in store for this lovely community~ :D  So instead of enjoying the colourful fireworks up close, we get to eat Pavlova my housemate made for us! It was yummy even though it doesn't look exactly like one. lolx! |
