♥ Writing Takes Me Out of This World

Before I start with this post, I have some pictures that I'd like to share. I should've taken this sort of picture when I first come to Brisbane, but hey, I was very shy to pose in front of it because this huge board is located at a round-about and at the edge of a football field. People are looking! And besides, the board looks more eye-catching at night time with the light effects and all~

And because it's dark, you can't really make out my face hahaha! But the second pic is of me and one of my housemates.

Now let's get back to business! XD

I know I'm not supposed to get into too much depth into this, but I can't help but have this urge to develop this writing art of mine. I've been working on fanfics at times just to get my mind off things and also to avoid myself feel frustrated when I fail to pen down my thoughts. These more frequent posts in my blog is one of the proof that I must keep on writing, perhaps to keep myself sane, because I haven't been able to write that much fanfics lately.

But still, I will always stalk asianfanfics everyday to catch up on updates of some of my favourite writing pieces. I really admire some of their works. They're not only good with ideas and imagination, but they're very developed in expressing things through simple words. And that's what I'm still working on to improve. To me, creativity is not the only thing needed to write a good piece, you have to have technique, and of course experience and maturity. I can definitely see the level of maturity of a person when he/she writes. The method of elaboration and the angle that other people sees things aren't always the same, and that amuses me so much when I read those exceptional work.

It's very hard to find good free-writers out there on the net, and the best ones always have their busy lives to look after, so updates on their stories might take forever. Though because its too good, readers are willing to wait for it just as long!

One of the greatest fanfic writer I've ever come across is a person who calls herself ~~Solangel~~ Con.template on Soompi. She posts her stories nowhere else except on Soompi. She writes about life, love, hate, sacrifice, and many other real life elements that makes her fictions looks like it's part of her life itself and that she was writing a true story. But of course, they're not. Which makes her the best out of the best on my personal list, and I'm very fussy when it comes to judging between a good fiction and a good writer. She owns both. Her latest successful fiction was called 'Welcome To The Underworld' which would mostly trigger a thought of a mafia/yakuza like story background at its first sight. But nope... It's much much deeper than that. It's about 'finding Paris'. Which again , didn't mean the actual Paris of France, even though she did include a setting of Paris near the end of the fiction.

Up until this very second, everytime I read the line 'I found Paris', I feel like I could die of envy and overwhelming melancholy... That's how much a few simple words from Solangel can affect a reader. She's such a great person who says what she means, but doesn't use the usual ways to get the message across. And I'm learning that from her from afar.

Sadly, she's already set out exactly five fictions to write on, and she'll probably retire from writing after that due to her personal life that is getting more hectic. ~~And now she's already done with three, writing one and that leaves one left.~~ Gosh, I wish I could write like her...

I noticed that whenever I write, I'm literally taken away from this world momentarily. It's like my mind is on a pause, and the only thing playing inside it is scenes of a story. I can't even see the laptop's keyboard and mostly my fingers will just danced over it. The next thing I know, I've already had a few pages of words written, with some typos of course~ XD Especially when an inspiration comes to mind, my fingers would type faster, and I can write longer chapters. But most of the time, it's just part of silly daydreams. Because it's hard to come up with an inspiration, and also those always come at all the wrong times. *sigh*

Just to fix my crave for writing, I'll update this blog even more regularly. The more itchy my fingers get, the more post I'll write in just a day! Hope you aren't bored with my essays hahaha!

p/s: sorry! i mixed up two great soompi writers together! >__< Solangel is extremely good as well, n she's the one who has finished writing 3 fics in which all of them won Fic of The Year on soompi. Con.template has only finished one, but she already have four more fics queuing. She even had everything readily outlined, with mini posters to accompany it on the page of her blog on soompi. =)
