Well, at least I think that it has already come to that appropriate time where Jaejoong should think seriously about marriage. I have a brother who's the same age as Jaejoong, and I definitely know that he's thinking about marriage as well at the moment. It's perfectly normal so to say. Though thinking about it is one thing, but trying to realise it is another. I may not be so young anymore to not take the issue of marriage seriously, but while being engulfed in more important commitments at the moment (such as my studies) I can't allow myself to get distracted just yet. Of course we're all dreaming about finally meeting our soulmates, wondering how they'd look like, who they are, how you'd meet... But once you'd meet, would you be ready? Marriage is a lifelong responsibility, and you'd be liable for everything related to it for the rest of your existence and non-existence (the afterlife). Simply put, there are absolutely a WHOLE lot of things to think about before being able to make that final decision just to be totally and absolutely sure that it's the right thing to do and that it's the right time to do it.

I have a lot of friends who is already married as of this moment. The first among them to get married is a friend of mine from high school. She married her own classmate (who is also someone I know) only months after school life ended. I was still a junior in college doing my a levels when I heard the news. And now they already have a handsome baby boy, perhaps turning three this year. Then, two of my middle school friends got married some time after, both have babies of their own too by now. Then, I started to lost count of how many of my old friends got married while I was in college and university; maybe twenty? But the latest marriage I heard was of my crush from high school. haha, if you ask me, I didn't feel a thing seeing him get married because a crush is just a crush, and I'm already a big girl. ;) And besides, he looked much too young to have a family of his own, that it almost seemed like a joke. But who am I to judge. :)

It does feel surreal at one point or another. Sometimes I do allow myself to imagine if I were in their shoes. If one day a guy came to my parents to ask for my hand in marriage... Gosh, I bet it would be mind-blowing! xD And to think that I have a close friend who's currently a few months pregnant... to think that we went to college together, we used to study together, we used to play together, we used tease one another... and now she's pregnant! To which the baby's father is also a friend of mine. o_O Well, I'm just glad that she's happy... ^_^ that they're both happy, that all of them are happy.

My other half... Where art thou? T_T


Hmm... why does it seem so easy for them to find their soulmates? And how did they know that the person is the one? I think some might rely their decision on love. If they didn't love each other, then they shouldn't get married until they do. Well, I have to disagree to that notion. I believe in fate and destiny, because Islam has thought us that we are created in pairs of men and women, to which a women is created from her man's rib. It has been written for us of who we're destined with, how we'd meet etc. We just have to have faith in HIM. Even if you love someone so much, if HE says that you're not meant for each other, then it'll never work out! But then again, people will start to question, why would there be divorces and people who died old without ever meeting their other half? Well, perhaps God has bigger plans for the said person. Or maybe Allah wants them to be a direct example of a lesson for the rest of the human kind to learn from (to which most of the arrogant people of the world nowadays refuse to give in to).

The easiest way to help us in making such an important decision is to do Istikharah, a prayer to ask guidance from Allah on which to choose. The love can come after marriage, because marriage in the name of Allah comes with an invisible attachment between the husband and wife, like a string connecting their hearts and allowing them to have loving feelings towards one another. It's a gift from Allah to the pair, a gift that should be cherished forever.

p/s: Jaejoong said that he wants to get married but before that he needs to become a good person first. A good person... There are a lot of possible interpretation as to what a good person may be in this context. >] hehehe
