♥ That Made Me Think

Morning peeps! :)

I apologise if my last post was such an eye-sore. It was simply what I was thinking the moment I saw that poster and I just had to write something about it and get it out of my systems. LOL. I know some of us don't care about the happenings of that group anymore, because I don't too. But what made me become annoyed again is how some of the others actually had changes of opinions after seeing that poster. That made me think, are Malaysians that easy? And things like that...

Well, this entry isn't going to be about them, again. =_=

I went to Ob!'s blog yesterday and read about his review about POTC and NurKas!h movies. He put it side by side and actually made a comparison on certain issues that I think is true, but quite inappropriate, and he concluded it by saying that watching NK is considered halal and watching POTC is considered haram on the bases that POTC is purely fantasy (the youth fountain etc) and that it has scenes of half-naked mermaids (sin to the eye) and suchs etc. I'd rather not elaborate.

I think he was being sarcastic. Offensively sarcastic, not just to the viewers of the movies, but to the religious authorities, and Malaysians as a whole. -_- This guy is evil. (and I could picture him saying 'thank you, I take that as a compliment.' when I say that). ---again, I don't wish to be critical, so I'll leave it at that.

I watched POTC last night, and I learned a lot actually. I think the producers are actually trying to insert elements of history into the film. Or maybe that was coincidence...? -_- Anyways, I was confused about the role of the Spanish at first. I had initially thought that the Spanish was after the fountain as well, but it seems not. At the end of the movie, the Spanish turned religious as said that 'No fountain can bring youth. Only Faith. Destroy the fountain!' or something like that.

It looks like as soon as the Spanish discovers about the fountain, they immediately went there to destroy it, so that no more people will be tempted and goes astray from the righteous of their beliefs.

The Spanish here were portrayed as Christians. But according to what I learn from history, Spain had been a great Muslim empire in the earlier centuries. So why had the producers made it this way? Are they trying to be sarcastic as well? Why did they pick the Spanish, not the Greeks or the Indians or whatever? That made me think...

I have to say that my trip to the cinema was actually quite worthwhile because of these findings. I had fun too, along with my two other friends. And it's been a while since I went back home after 12am. Shhhhh! xD

p/s: I haven't watched NurKas!h so I can't actually compare the two movies like what he did. And you know what, I think I caught a sore-throat. -_- and a headache, and I feel like a flu is coming... Darn this unpredictable weather. :(

And to end this entry please enjoy this video. I just love how synched and powerful their moves are. :D
